About Us

The MAJJK Heart Family Foundation is a Phoenix-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting families of pediatric cardiac patients during extended inpatient hospitalization. Founded by two heart parents who lived inside the Phoenix Children's Hospital CVICU, we exist to close the critical gaps that families face when a child's heart condition turns into a months-long hospital stay.
Our programs focus on three areas: making mental health support accessible to patients, parents, and siblings during long-term cardiac stays; providing direct financial assistance to families in crisis; and funding research that advances pediatric cardiac outcomes. We partner with Phoenix Children's Hospital to embed support where families need it most.
We are supported by a four-member founding board with expertise in mental health, finance, healthcare, and community leadership — and guided by a Clinical Advisor who is Chief of Cardiac Surgery at PCH. Our signature fundraising events include an Annual Pickleball Tournament and Annual Heart Hike, both held in Phoenix.
Donations are tax-deductible. Arizona donors may qualify for a dollar-for-dollar state Charitable Tax Credit (QCO). Every dollar goes toward closing the gaps no heart family should face alone.
