\n James E. Garcia is a playwright\, journalist\, university professor\, and owner of Creative Vistas Media\, a Valley-based\n media consulting firm. \; He also serves as the \n director of communications at the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. \n
Garcia has taught writing and ethnic studies courses at Arizona State University since 2003. As\n a journalist\, he has worked as a reporter\, columnist\, foreign correspondent and broadcast commentator. \; \n He was the founding editor of Latino Perspectives Magazine and the first Latino Affairs correspondent for\n KJZZ\, 91.5\, the Valley's NPR affiliate. \; Garcia also is the founder and producing artistic director of New arpa\n Theater Co.\, and he has written and produced more than a dozen plays.\n \n
