He will share his thoughts and personal \nexperiences regarding how creating these core values form the foundation for a \ncompany that can endure generations of leadership. \nEmpire Southwest is a family owned business founded in 1950 as Empire \nMachinery\, an Eastern Oregon Caterpillar and John Deere dealership. When founder \nJack Whiteman was awarded Caterpillar's Arizona territory in 1959\, the company \nrelocated and began building partnerships with Arizona's construction and mining \nindustries that endure today.   John O. Whiteman succeeded his father as \nCEO/President in 1991 and held that position for 11 years.
