With the sports and tourism industries shifting gears completely this season, it has become quite clear just how heavily the local economy relies on these sectors. From spring training to the Fiesta Bowl, Greater Phoenix is one of the most saturated regions in the country when it comes to tourism for sporting events. With the Superbowl coming to Arizona in 2023 and the Final Four in 2024, how can the community ensure these future events thrive in a post-COVID world?
Join us on October 6th to hear from a dynamic panel of women from the sports and tourism industries as they discuss the economic importance of these sectors in Arizona. Discover why Phoenix is winning the sports tourism game, and how these women are instrumental in making it happen!
Speakers:
Roxann Favors, City Major Events Administrator, Phoenix Convention Center
Alena Hicks, Director of Marketing, Arizona Office of Tourism
Kristen Pflipsen, Board Member, Arizona Sports & Tourism Association
Moderator:
Stephanie Jarvis, Principal of Jarvis Consulting, Final Four Local Organizing Committee
