Every workspace looks different, but if you work with a computer at a desk, it is likely that most of your workday is spent sitting. Dr. Laskowski shared in an article on MayoClinic.org that long periods of sitting are linked to several health risks such as obesity, high blood pressure, excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol levels. We are having a conversation with Drew Saenz, Program Director and Workday Performance Coach at Team Up AZ, about how to combat a long workday and incorporate movement throughout our day!
Come prepared wearing comfortable clothing to move in as Drew leads us through exercises we can practice in our at-home workspace, in the office, or in the field.
