One of the most effective ways to make an impact is to lend your time and expertise by serving on the board of a favorite nonprofit. Serving as a board member means more than just carrying the title. To truly make an impact, board members must be active, engaged, and willing to roll up their sleeves and take a servant-leadership approach to ensuring the viability, efficiency and long-term impact of the missions they serve.
So what exactly does it take to be a good board member? How are board members critical to the success of nonprofits? How does one go about joining a board? How do you know if your contribution will make or is making a real impact?
Katherine Cecala, president of Junior Achievement of Arizona, will answer these questions and more as the keynote speaker during our January 2016 PWA luncheon.
Advance registration is required for Lunch
