With campuses in Phoenix and Glendale, Gompers serves 350 students and adults with physical and developmental disabilities in the metro-Phoenix area. Individuals receive services through three unique programs including a: K-12 special education school, Day Training for Adults program and an Employment Services program. Assistive technology services provides individuals, with a diverse range of disabilities, access to various assistive or adaptive products, devices or equipment to help increase communication and independence.
Gompers Private School (GPS) utilizes research based, special education strategies to develop each student’s academic strengths while using a variety of teaching methods to increase communication and independence. Assistive technology, on-site therapy services, and transition programming enhance each student’s learning and post graduate opportunities.
Gompers Day Training for Adults (DTA) program is built around community integration and self-determination. Individuals with disabilities ages 18 and older are encouraged to fulfill their dreams and maximize their abilities, while being supported to reach their highest potential for independence.
Gompers Employment Services (ES) program offers one of the finest employment readiness programs for people with disabilities. With knowledgeable supervisors and a skilled support team, members have opportunities to explore interests and gain experience with a goal of independent, competitive employment. The ES program offers: Center, Group, and Community Based Employment, Disability Related Employment Services
