Volunteer for Project Homeless Connect

Description

The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce Volunteer Initiative offers quarterly volunteer projects for our members.  This opportunity is working with the Valley of the Sun United Way - Project Homeless Connect  which is taking action with solutions that address the root causes of homelessness. Project Homeless Connect offers instant access to the resources people in our community need to start the journey back to health, financial stability and housing. This includes access to goods - like food and clothing - and services such as counseling and job placement.

Chamber members  will have an opportunity to assist individuals with food, clothing, shelter information, employment, and other services that may be available.  Groups may be assigned to assist with providing participants with clothes donated for the program, connecting participants to appropriate services, guiding them through this process, and helping direct the flow of traffic for the day.

The Chamber is looking for 25 people for both the morning shift as well as the afternoon shift.

7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
